I have been a volunteer in the CHAT shop for about five years and Treasurer for three and half years. I first became aware of the benefits of CHAT to the community when I worked as a receptionist at St James Road surgery, then continued at Antony Road and Penntorr surgeries for twelve years in total and I was delighted to become involved with CHT when I retired.
I grew up in Plymouth but the Rame Peninsula has always been very special to me. After 30 years living in London, Dartmoor and Exeter we came to settle in Torpoint 20 years ago. I worked in banking for many years, finishing in Exeter as Assistant Branch Manager with the Halifax. This stood me in good stead for the role of CHAT shop treasurer and I now I’m treasurer for Chatlink and CHAT also.
