Born and bred in Lancashire, I moved to Torpoint in 1986 and worked in the Community as a Health Visitor until I retired 10 years ago. Prior to that I was a nurse and a midwife so my working life has been solely with the NHS and I am passionate about preventative medicine.

CHAT was started in 1999 and although not actively involved I was working alongside Kathy Gilbert and Margaret Hall, two of the founder members, so watched it grow and develop into a valuable resource for residents of the Rame Peninsula. I began volunteering about 9 years ago firstly in CHAT Link and then in the shop. I was privileged to become a trustee in 2017.
